Stock management technology: retailers not sold on RFID

In an intensely competitive environment, improving stock tracking methods throughout the store and warehouse is a key challenge facing retailers, and RFID has been hailed by many as a promising solution to help improve tracking. However, according to a survey of 100 retailers in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region in 2006, the majority of retailers (64%) are neither using nor evaluating RFID to help prepare for future challenges and opportunities.
