LCC International, Inc., a provider of advanced wireless, wire-line voice and data services, has received a multi-year energy management remote monitoring system deployment project for a telecom operator in Pakistan.
Designed and developed by LCC, the remote monitoring system is a realtime telemetry solution that enables remote monitoring of multiple fuel and energy management elements in a geographically distributed network. The product was launched earlier this year and is currently in trial with 7 mobile operators across the region.
Under the agreement, LCC will deploy its remote monitoring solution for monitoring commercial power and fuel consumption at cell sites across Pakistan. The full turnkey rollout involves equipment supply, installation, commissioning, testing and acceptance of the product solution at all BTS sites.
LCC's remote monitoring product portfolio provides solutions that reduce CapEx and OpEx spending for the customer. Features include remote management with real time access, enhanced control and inventory management of power resource elements, effective utilization of power back up systems and reduction in fuel theft. Additional products include intelligent generator sequence controllers, fuel sensors, battery health monitors and energy measurement modules.
"LCC developed the solution to address the challenging demands in fuel management that impact this region's geographical landscape," said Rashid Iqbal, LCC's COO for MEA & AP Region. "There is a large demand for this solution as it significantly reduces OpEx expenditures by efficiently managing the energy consumption at the cell site level."
