DNS Bank selects IBM PureSystems to expand mobile services

Dombivli Nagari Sahakari, or DNS, Bank, a cooperative bank in India, has selected IBM PureSystems to expand mobile services and cut costs.

The new IBM PureFlex System integrates the bank's hardware, cloud capabilities, network management and virtualization, allowing DNS Bank to expand its reach, gain new clients and reduce operational expenses by 10 percent - without increasing its IT infrastructure footprint, IBM said.

"Working with DNS Bank required a holistic approach to IT infrastructure that would match the bank's goal to provide a next generation of banking to its clients," said Rahul Bindal, Country Leader, PureSystems, Systems and Technology Group, IBM India South Asia. "IBM PureFlex allowed DNS to simplify their experience, increase overall performance, and significantly reduce operational and management costs."
