Bharat Petroleum Corporation reports net profit for Q2

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, or BPCL, has reported that net profit for the second quarter ended September 30, 2012 was INR50.34 billion, or INR69.63 per share, compared to net loss of INR32.29 billion, or INR44.66 loss per share, for the same quarter ended September 30, 2011.

Total income from operations for the second quarter ended September 30, 2012 was INR568.88 million, compared to INR423.07 billion for the same quarter ended September 30, 2011.

Net loss for the six months ended September 30, 2012 was INR38.02 billion, or INR52.58 loss per share, compared to net loss of INR57.91 billion, or INR80.09 loss per share, for the same period ended September 30, 2011.

Total income from operations for the six months ended September 30, 2012 was INR1.11 trillion, compared to INR884.52 billion for the same period ended September 30, 2011.
