ASAP Systems, a provider of inventory management and asset tracking systems, has announced new enhancements for its cloud-based application, ASAP BarCloud.
Enhancements in ASAP BarCloud include: the ability to rename data field names (essentially customizing the application to the needs of a business) and data backup to Box, a provider of online collaboration software. In addition, ASAP BarCloud is now capable of handling advanced stock inventory, including batch-lot and serial inventory. Batch-lot inventory tracking enables companies to track date codes, lot codes and expiration dates. Serialized inventory allows companies to individually tag items using an ID or serial number. It also allows for the content of the item to be quantified.
With ASAP BarCloud, a company's inventory and asset data is centralized in a single online workspace, making it easy for employees to share real-time updates, reports and more. All users need an Internet browser to have complete control of their inventory and asset information on any platform.
"Our vision is to give businesses an affordable, easy-to-use solution for inventory management and asset tracking that used barcode or RFID and can be easily configured to their specific needs," said Elie Jean Touma, president and CEO of ASAP Systems. "With this enhanced functionality, we're making ASAP BarCloud even more flexible, putting our customers in control of how they will use it within their organization."
According to the company, the new features are the latest in a series of advancements for the web-based application- including a Check Out/Check In feature, QuickBooks Integration, Data Import, and the release of the ASAP BarCloud App, which allows users to track asset and inventory data with their mobile device.
